Sands is undertaking a Bereaved Parents Survey. This piece of work is essential to inform our work on behalf of bereaved parents across Australia.

We will use your responses to inform our advocacy and assess whether bereavement care is improving and identify areas where more work needs to be done. Sands is working to ensure health professionals are equipped to provide good bereavement care and are supported to assist parents through the crucial time they are able to spend with their babies after birth. We also need to build on our work to ensure families are supported after leaving the hospital. This will include ongoing resources that support critical milestones for parents including a return to work.

The survey will take less than 10 minutes and is vital to assisting Sands in its work of representing bereaved parents. All responses are valuable as they help us to evidence the need for change and investment.  The survey asked questions about your family, your pregnancy or infant losses, the care you received in hospital and afterwards, returning to work, and what additional support options would have helped the most.
